Disaster Relief
Disaster Relief started back in 1967 in Texas when Hurricane Beulah ravaged the Rio Grande Valley and Northern Mexico. The Texas Baptist Men responded. Disaster Relief started in South Carolina when Hurricane Hugo hit in 1989. Thirteen feeding units from eleven states came to provide meals to needy families. Since then South Carolina Baptist Men (and women) have responded to earthquakes, fires, floods, high-wind bursts, hurricanes, ice storms, tornados, tsunamis, an air crash, a train wreck, a chemical spill and a terrorist attack. Some of the members of Hebron Baptist along with other congregations in the our area come together as a cooking team that is ready and available when the call is given. We are ready to help those in need of the basics of life during disasters.
